Hey All!!
Jus wanted to know whether anyone has come across the alarm systems sold on ebay :?:

{DESCRIPTION}

These things are loaded with features hence jus needed to know whether any one has purchased anythin similar to this and also whether anyone has any ideas on how good these products are :?:

I was quoted around $600 a year ago for a 2 way pager alarm thingy..fitted..this thing is worth lots less...also how much to fit :?:

Ya thats the same bloody reason I wanted to know whether anyone on this site knew any issues with these units..And if no issues...I think this is a bloody bargain..coz the same things retail for way above these prices elsewhere.

for insurance purposes make sure any alarms you buy have all black wiring. Apparently that makes them insurance compliant because it makes it harder for a would be theif to know which wire goes where.

I've had one of these for about 6 months now.

NOT black wiring, and 1 mile range HA try 200meters.

Otherwise - VERY GOOD.

$300 for installation, didn't include remote start, they couldn't get it going (SMARTLOCK).

data mine, would you recommend it? The best feature about this alarm seems to be the auto start, but if that doesn't work... what else is really cool about it that you like?

I may have just gone to a dodgy auto electric place - but I hear it is very difficult to bypass smartlock (a good thingâ„¢). I seem to remember something on hear before the crash that told you how to bypass the keychecking to get the remote start to work, but still prevent hotwiring, but it is lost??? I seem to remember it being said that remote start is illegal anyway. </rambling>

Other than that the alarm is very good. The shock sensor took about two week to adjust the the right sensitivity.

The other thing I don't like is the 'beep' and 'beep beep' when you arm/disarm it is as loud as the alarm noise, which can be annoying to neighbours, and the only way to stop it also makes the alarm silent too.

Just little niggles. plus of course the wiring is colour coded, so your insurer may not like it (or maybe just won't give you any discount for having it).
