Has anyone heard that falcons with the security keys can be opened with a squash ball? Apparently you need to cut the ball in half then hold it up to the lock on the drivers door then smack it hard with your hand so the air pressure pops the button up on the inside. No muss No fuss. dont even need a slim jim. i think the security system is still active but other tech items on the site i've heard can tell you how to over ride this.

The other programing bug i've heard of is in the AU models. take the interior light out, eg blown globe/ smashed and the engine wont start. apparently the ecu checks the voltage across many circuts in the car before it kicks the starter. the bug is that when the light isn't there the car chucks a hissy fit.

how about that?

its actually not the coil, its the BEM, which is the computer which also controls smartlock, as tfor the interior light, its the fuse not the globe that causes the problem, and again its because the BEM gets a power feed from the same fuse

Doesn't work.

There's another way to bring up reds on an AU and disabling Smartshield... and no I am not telling ... I was shown by someone ... takes 2 seconds as well.

Might be the same for E-series as well .. but not sure on that one.

Why would we want to undermine the security of our own cars anyway. Were not the only ones who come to this site?

It is a 10 year old car man.
It's not like they've been unstealable up to this point.
If you rely on thieves not knowing how to bypass factory security 10 years down the track, you are in for a hell of a shock one day.

LOL alright lets spell it out and put a memo out there so a 3rd grader could it.
I'll get a shock no matter at what stage my car goes missing steady. 8-)

I understand where you are coming from.
However I'd rather know every vulnerability so I can try and counter some of them, to at least make it harder.
I'm willing to risk a couple of 3rd graders breaking into teachers cars to make mine more secure ;)
Still, no matter what you do, if a pro wants to steal your car, they will.
All you can do is make it harder, so it either takes them so long that someone catches them, or they give up.
