Hey. i have a EF Fairmont with a 6 CD stacker. I want to put my pioneer head unit in today and im just wondering if anyone has any steps to take out the stacker, and when i do how to disconnect the stacker ?
The head unit was also installed into my old Fairlane where the cables on the head unit have been done and has a plastic connection at the end of the cables is it as easy as replacing the old with the new? sorry if i sound like a noob lol |

Stackers unbolts from boot. Just zip tie the cables up. Dont cut them off they can come in handy later on. Also there a pain in the but to remove from veichle harness. if i remember correctly there is RCA's in there you can use for after market job.

ok cool, i just took the stereo out but there was a fair few cables connected to the stacker side .... do you just disconect them?
But the problem was there were no RCA's to connect to my Pioneer but just wires connected plastic plugs which did not connect to the pionner one. What should i do about this now ? Just take it to JB to do lol ? but i kind of want to do it myself... thank you . daniel |

i dont have any RCA's at all from my 6x9s. All that there is the cables running from the stock boot speakers to the stock player which are connected to plastic plugs which dont match up to the pionner plug.
do i buy RCA cables from JB ? |
