My brother recently removed his stock Radio from his EF Falcon and in doing so he cut the wiring loom without realising it is easier if it remains. We then had problems with a ford security wire?? In the end we ended up buying a replacement wiring harness identical to the stock one along with an adaptor to connect it to my JVC Headunit. However I have rewired the entire system to both my memory and using the wiring colours listed on this site. Still the radio will not turn on and neither will the car due to the security wire?? I've checked all the fuses I could see and two were blown one being the Rad Cig Ltr and another being the CRT Lp both these were replaced with the corresponding fuses but still nothing from either the radio or the engine.

i believe coutesy lamp or something along those lines, it controls all the interior lights, including the boot one
Also the radio and smartlock, if it's blown it will enable smartlock stopping your car from starting.
Not all that important to worry about if your just changing your headunit, but a handy thing to no of, as it can be a quite frustrating problem, and not all that uncommon.
By the way if you ever find yourself with this problem to avoid a tow you can always short across the fuse for a few seconds to start it. As it doesn't control any vital functions for standard driveing.

yep on the money there oz, its courtesy lamp, basically powers everything internally from your dash to your boot, so if its blown, no show joe.
