We just installed a new Pioneer headunit into my EF2 Fairmont and now the electric antenna no longer automatically goes up when the accessories and radio are turned on like it would with the stock deck.
It will go up and down when we connect the constant power (yellow/green) but only when the two wires touch. How can we make the automatic antenna work with the new headunit? Please help, would much be appreciated. |

well i would say that the stock radio told the antenna to go up down when on/off but the pioneer doesnt. maybe there is a option that u can get it to do it but possibly not im not sure. maybe the best way would be to make a switch for it and so it urself.

There was a post on this subject IIRC a few months ago, and it also covered the antenna height switch as well. Have a search using the audio section as the search criteria.

does the original have a switched earth? I know the pioneers are switched 12+, but if the BEM requires a switched earth it wont work :S
