I was looking at setting up an incar PC a while back but couldnt find a decent way to get sound into my headunit (Clarion MP3) unless i used one of those Radio transmitter things, and then i thought - wtf, all im gonna do is watch porn while im sposed to be driving and dropped the idea, Then i saw this: http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=QM3780&CATID=24&keywords=&SPECIAL=&form=CAT&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=619

(if that url worked im amazed) if not look in the "car accessories" "general" area of their site, anyway it should come in handy to anyone setting up a carPC without a input into their headunit

stay away from that one, i have it (that exact model) and am not very impressed with the quality at all... far to much hiss! Pity though, the old cd stacker I had used an FM transmitter and it was brilliant, no hiss nothing and good quality sound.

If you want one of those I would suggest a different brand/model, try searching for some reviews on the net.....?

Yeh of course proper RCA will sound better, wherever you have a change in sound/video type (eg with AV to RF video converters) you lose quality - ive never used one of these, i just figured it would be better than one of the ones that takes the signal and transmits it to the headunit via radio
