I used any glue I had in my garage...I think i ended up using a tube of silicon glue for glass and shower areas when I did my rear parcel shelf and stuck down pretty good...can't take it off without ripping the carpet

Motor trimmers and car audio installers use a BRUSH CONTACT TRIM CEMENT
It's a contact adhesive that bonds to itself Best way to apply it is by using a spray gun, you first spray the underside of the fabric you wish to use then also spray the surface you wish to apply the fabric to Wait couple minutes for glue to tac off then apply the fabric to the surface you wish to cover CAUTION: This is VERY strong cement so try to get it right the first time as once the 2 glued surfaces come into contact with each other it takes quite a bit of effort to remove and try again Usually if you have to take off and try again you will need to give them a light spray again so it will bond

When i did a parcel shelf in a car i just used some spray on glue, worked a charm, spray the wood, then spray the fabric and apply. And yeah make sure it is done right the first time.
Oh and the parcel shelf is still going strong, was a custom made parcel shelf for a VW golf, looked good until the felt fabric faded due to sun damage.

Well my silicon glue is still holding on tight...and nothing wrong so far even though its been outside since may and sun shining on it every now and then. phong =P~
