This guy, Steve Cook from the USA got a world record 175dB out of his van and considering a 747 jumbo jet take off is a pissy 98dB on average...

Just wondering how many db (decibals) does the Cadence Ambulance pump out, it shore is mighty loud, a very lot of subs and amplifiers used in it. Im curious how does it create all the power to power everything? anyone have a link?

Ive heard the ambo van b4 and i was not impressed a guys RX7 which was near the van was clearly a s**t louder as i could hear its music (bass) clearly over the ambo van. He only had 2 big a** 15' subs

the rx7 proberbly sounded louder to you because of where you were standing in comparison to the ambo. the 2 15's might have been in a good resonating spot to your ears and playing a note that was the resonant frequency of the subs, so it sounds f**k sweet and loud, but if you found the sweet spot for the ambo at full volume... i think it would be louder
plus, our ears are most sensitive at around 1000Hz, so if you want a loud system, dont just spend all the $$$ on bass, work the mids and highs just as well, it'll make it sound a s**t load louder where is the cadience ambo gunna be at next? might go check it out again cheers fellas |

The Cadence ambulance probasbly had it on volume 1 out of possible 100

pretty sure its at the 167 mark, but they measure from inside tha cabin, all da sound is in da back, as for power, 37 batteries linked up, flatlined em in 30 seconds when they first built it and 3/4 power

However i had 3 of my mates with me and we could all hear the bass from the rx7 over the van.??? I must admit thou it is pretty damn crazy that Cadence van.

you gotta remember that the ambo doesn't put the volume up at comps simply due to lack of power, if you run em as hard as that rx7 probably was it'll go dead real quick. not to mention the voltage doesn't stay pas 13 for very long when they got it running for a few days. i've heard the ambo at half way and its damn loud and clear as hell, especially since it was fully charged when i heard it at a mini meet.
