I doubt that nothing can be done, unless you want to change your amp.
I have 2 amps in my falc, and only my monoblock does it. Mine is not a pop, but more of a thud (>1000wRMS). Learn to put up with it

The thud is most likely an amplifier fault but can also be caused by other components in the system such as active crossovers, EQ’s or the headunit.
9 times out of 10 it’s the amp. So what can be done? It depends on what part of the amp is causing the problem but you can buy a delayed turn off device from any Autobarn store or Car audio dealer which you put on the trigger to the amp. It delays the turn on by 2sec and also the turn off so the headunit has powered down and stopped providing signal when the amp shuts off hence no thump. If you still get thump then it’s a little more complicated. You get need to make a noise gate which disconnects the actual speakers from the amp during turn off and turn on. It takes a bit of building though ands requires relays and the delayed module mentioned above.

i use to have the same problem when i turned my volume down to 0 it would pop (only little). i had stuffed the earth for the rca cable cos i found i didnt do it when i used the other rca out. may not be ur problem i dunno. also use to hear the noises of the cd player searching for the next song but once i fixed the earth for the rca it all dissapeared

mines a thud also 4500wrms lol
doe snot really worry me it only really happens when bass/sub is pretty much at 0 (when my GF drives lol) doubt teh delay would help as it even happens during tracks. might paly arround with a cap so it is gentle turn off. did this happen to u pyroay? doubt its RCa sa for teh monoblock i got those good ones from jaycar with the thick insulation but might as well give it ago |

i did a dogey and put a wire on the rca connector on the deck and pushed the rca cable over it and then connected it to the earth on the deck. but since have opened the deck up and re soldered the negative that i had fried from unsecure amps moving in the boot

You can get a ground lopop isolator (about $12) but that is a band aid fix to the problem. They dont always fully stop the noise and they certainly dont solve the heart of the problem.
I did not have that problem with the earthquake amp but then i did have a delayed turn on it because i had it connected from a previous amp.

Some more info would help.
What sort of HU? How many line outs(2 or 4 for front and rear and 1 for sub)? Does it do it on any other speakers? Do you have any other speakers off an amp? What are the gains for the sub amp on? But before all that have you ensured that all wiring and connections are secure? Alot of problems like this reported on here end up being a poor instalation. The help suggested is great but the real root cause isnt normally found until the very end......A LOOSE CONNECTION!!!! |

If you getting the thud in between tracks etc I very much doubt that a turn on delay will fix this. If it does then it means that the amp is switching off from either an amp fault or a fualt in the turn on signal.
Try placing a reasonably large capacitor of around 1000mfd across the turn on signal at the amp to ground this will hold up the turn on signal briefly if it is in fact dropping out. This is a quick and easy way to find out. Make sure to orient the capacitor correctly regarding polarity!!!!! Let us know how you go. Cheers, Outlawxr6.....

sounds like your amp has some issues.
