I just bought an AU futura, and someone has put a different stereo into the car.
It's a factory ford one, but it isn't the original one.
How do i get the radio code for it?
Thanks

you can try ford with the serial numbers off the back of the radio.

i rang up ford all over brisbane yesterday, but it was past 11am, or they werent able to help me.
i'll just ring them up after the holidays.
so you reckon they can give it to me going by the numbers on the back of the deck?

nar i just bought the car but the deck wasn't sitting in the dash properly, so i d/c it and had a look so i could make it fit. once i did that and put it back in, it asked me for the code. the stereo is definitely not original.

They'll give you the code of the original headunit.
Not the one that it has been replaced with ... which is what he is asking for.

AFAIK you can get the serial number off the back of the HU as mentioned earlier and take it to Ford ... they should be able to look it up for you and give you the code.

Yes normally the go is you tell ford the VIN number and they can tell you the code.

If they cant help you with a code or they want cash for it then PM me the code and ill see if i can get it done with a few mates in that area. :)

some of you guys need a lesson in how to read. the head unit is not the original one for that car. the vin number will give a code for the original radio.

Thanks guys. the head deck is a FORD one but it's out of an au2/3 and the car is an AU1.
I will have to ring ford tomorrow and get that code.
