 Post subject: Headunit not workin nemore!

i turned on me car today , and my headunit is not turning on. I checked the wires , and they are all connected but still does not turn on. :?

check the relevant fuses in the cabin fuse thing...and check the fuse on the headunit...

if that doesnt work, pull the active and neutral wires out from the stereo, and attach a 12v globe and see if it lights up...if it does, your stereo's royally f**k, if it doesnt...your wirings royally f**k...

ive checked for blown fuses , but they seem to be fine. Im goin to check the wiring 2mra and then see if the headunit works when i connect the black wire to the negative of the battery and red and yellow to positive. If that all fails then i guess ill hav to take the headunit back to where i got it and see if they can repair it.

i hooked my headunit straight up to the battery and my headunit works,then i tested a globe with my cars wires and the globe doesnt light up. so i guess my wiring is fuked.

i checked my fuses again , and the Boot rls fuse is blown , could that be the problem?

replace it and see... but wouldn't have thought boot release would stop your lights and stereo from working... :?

i think the boot wire connects up wit one of the power wires from the headunit

the headunit was not workin coz of that blown boot fuse , so i removed the hazard light fuse and put it where the boot fuse was , and now the problem is fixed :D phewww , thanks alot for ya help people, i appreciate it 8-)

Yeh, all those constant power components such as boot release, interior light etc run off the same fuse.
