..Ive been running 2 x 12" Rockwood D.V.C subs , in a sealed box. The box weights about 40kgs i reckon.... i removed the box the other day to test another sub. after testing it i pulled it out and left my boot empty. Ive drove it without any doof doof and damn... the car felt faster and i reckon fuel economy will be a little bit better..:( . I love the extra pull the car has now, but i enjoy the subs .

I guess if i just get 1x powerful 12inch and do some type of fiberglass setup, that may work. Are there any more happy mediums, wat have other ppl done?

cheers

wow 40kgs of wood...my whole boot install is about 25kg or less for the framework and finishing touches...amps and subs probably add another 10kg or less...

that box must be huge :shock:

phong =P~

PS: that includes my false floor set up.

yeah I do...and I guess that really saved a lot of space and weight...and still does the trick, not as clear, but still get my car vibrating.

Well my stereo and associated components adds over 300kgs to my car.. actually quite a bit more.. and it still goes like a rocket.. scary to imagine wat it would be like without the stereo in it..

Cheers,

The boot install in the GT-P knocked 1/10th off my 1/4 times.

Didn't weigh it myself, but a recent trip to a weighbridge clocked the GT-P, me, stereo, and a 1/2 tank of fuel at 2060KG!

The LPG tank and brackets for your car wouldn't weigh 50kgs (how would a mechanic be able to fit it otherwise), even full of gas you would be lucky to add up to 100kg, tanks often have weight stamped into them, have a look one day.
