it is to do with the sound waves comign from the subs..

when u move them the sound waves are being interupted/distored resulting in s**t sound ing bass

Yeah from what i figure, the 'awesome bass' is just the echo of the bass off the boot? Which makes it sound a little more delayed and less defined. Great if you're only after lots of boom though :)

Speaker phasing may be incorrect, make sure the polarity of each wire is the same on both speakers. Each speaker should have a + and a - connector, each amp has a + and a - output make sure they are not swapped over. If in doubt change the polarity of one speaker with respect of the other and see if that helps.
Cheers
TW.

Ive found directly under the parcel shelf in the LTD that i get quite a bit less bass but as haggis said , "the 'awesome bass' is just the echo of the bass off the boot? Which makes it sound a little more delayed and less defined. "

Maybe box new design? somewhere out of the way

your just loading your boot up facing them backwards

falcon boots suck for big SPL. Most in the know either corner load, or build the spare wheel well as the enclosure and fire the woofer straight into the bootlid

i find directly facing the subs in the middle of the boot towards the rear of the car gets the best loading... i also lost bass when i had my 2 12s under the parcel shelf hard up against the back seat of the sedan...

I've got my eclipse aluminium 12's firing through a sealed enclosure and into the factory sub hole in the shelf so all the sound pressure is firing into the cabin.
I'm sure the back window will pop one day!! I've found this to be a great setup because you don't get the boot lid rattling as much.

the best position for a sub in a sedan is up the back of the boot facing into the corner, tests have proven that this position is as good as having double the amount of subs behind the seat facing forward.

Unless of course you mean that there is nothing coming from the speakers at all when you move them, if this is the case check your speaker wires.
