how can you stop the boot ratal when you have a sub

I've got that problem, but it doesn't phase me too much. I can't hear it rattling and it's only minor outside. The thing that gives me the s**t is the inside-rearview mirror. The mirror has actually come loose from the plastic and makes a heap of noise when the sub's going. Tried everything from shoving a paper clip between the glass and plastic, to superglue, to now having thin metal pieces wedged between the top and bottom of the glass... Nothing has worked!
