mines all just twisted together, but then all the connections are heatshrinked and cable tied. at first they were all just taped but the mere thought of the mess made me fix it all up.

narva make some cool new connections. you just thread the wire in, heat it up and theres already solder in there that melts and it leaves a heat shrink coating on too. all you need is a butane torch or heat gun - hair drier prolly wouldn't get hot enough. pretty quick, clean and easy to use.

i may now be just a supervisor in the automotive industry but when i was a tech a simple stagger join and heat shrink was and still is the best and neatest on looms.

Heatshrink is fine .... but taping up an entire loom ... sounds a little messy still ... hee hee

Almost as bad as mine was. The previous owner had got a nice new H/U, AND GOT STRATHFIELD TO INSTALL IT
 Not to good a job.
They had even cut wires that had nothing to do with the H/U. They had cut the wires for the power/econ switch and the handbrake light on the dash. It was so bad that I took it to my friend, an auto electrician. He said that he can't see any sign of the wires and that he will have to rip the whole dash out and run new wires. So my car doesn't have them connected. I also fixed the light for the gear position, by running new wires from the light that goes around the cigarette lighter.

The guys at strathfield kept telling me that my amp didn't exist. Had to take 2 of them out to the car and show them the working amp. f**k dodgy. Specially when they call themselves a Kicker retailer.
