I am a little freaked out that you keep speciman jars at home!! Whats goin on there aye??!!!

Well, I don't have a dunny in my workshop so...
Nah they're handy for keeping little screws, components in etc.

phongus I was planning to stick one on the back as well, just gotta plan where I can put it where it doesn't stick out like dogs balls. At this stage I'm thinking either in the boot lock hole or just poking out the top of the number plate light surround (which I have painted but haven't fitted yet so I could easy mod it to suit)
I was also thinking for a higher mounted one I could hide it inside one of those bmw style shark fin roof antenna thingos - like this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-SHAR ... enameZWD2V

It'd be functional, but I'd probably look like a bit of a faggot... haha

I'm also thinking of putting one in the outer tip of the passenger mirror so I can flick to that to see whats ahead in the left lane - useful if there's a truck or something large infront blocking my view. It'd probably only get used once in a blue moon but hey, all this stuff is only for gimmick/wank factor anyway right ? :)

yeah it would be hard to find a spot on the back unless u have a spoiler or something. You could get a rear garnish from a fairmont and use that? put it where the "F" symbol is....but it would look weird with a fairmont garnish.

the BMW shark fin is a no no i reckon...will look gay....to be blunt.

the mirror wouldn't be too bad either...=D

The above picture is pretty much the finished look, but I'll take more of the whole interior once it's mounted properly.

I have to take the car for a rego inspection next week, I wonder if I should leave the screen on or off when the mechanic takes it for a drive... :)

Hyena you read my mind, jus I wana do it to an AUII XR6 ute wen I get 1 for my first car. I'm working as a casual (afraid to say who for...[dw, not Holden]) jus to own some sweet grunt and not a rust bucket toyota corolla for my first car. Hopefuly I will make enough cash to buy it as my first car andhave enough cash left over. Dad says no other car makes besides Ford in my driveway son otherwise you can move out and buy your own home too.... Pfft.. As if I ever wanted anything other than a Ford either. Except a Ferrari?

i would asume that the sound is plugged directly into your head unit? does your head unit have audio in or something how did ya go about making it run though your car is it clear aswell? no crackling or interference?

Yeah my headunit has a 3.5mm aux in jack on the face. It's not ideal having it plugged in like that (I'd rather it around the back out of sight but it's the best I can do for now. I thought about using a FM transmitted but figured this way I'd get cleaner sound.

And yes the picture is pretty good, no interference which is pretty good considering I'm using telephone cable and cat5!

Have a look at the bathurst cruise video I did, that shows the signal quality from the camera

There's no sound with the bumper cam but otherwise it's fine. On the way home from bathurst I started replaying the footage from earlier in the day and you couldn't tell the difference between the incar footage playback of me throwing it through the gears and cruising alone :)
