Would a digital TV tuner be a better option for a car? (No static)

Hmm, no idea since I have not used digital TV yet :) I'll have to think about it... I would go with analog if I found a good (cheapish) tuner that works when moving, otherwise maybe digital...

Radio antenna's sometimes work... try it and see. A proper antenna will get better reception though.

Anyone with a screen.....I was wondering if you have had any trouble with the clearance between the screen and the mould of the dash that is just above the stereo. Was in the car this morning looking around and it appeared to be quite a distance to cover.
Cheers,
David

yeh ur right.. its a little bit of an eyesore to have the screen in the bottom DIN, and the only way to get it to adjust it to a half decent angle is to have it protuding quite a bit from the dash...

unavoidable by the looks of it, i had to modify the brackets slightly to make it sit out that far.

if anyone has any other ideas of how to make it look any better, open to suggestions!

Hows it an eye sore to have it in the 2nd din?
Mines in the 2nd din and its easy viewable for everyone apart from the front passenger as the center console point towards the drivers side a fair bit when you look at it! :o

its an eyesore cos it conceals my 8650 :(

also, to get a decent angle on the screen the LCD unit has to protrude a fair bit :(

on another note, window mount antenna (adhesive film, kinda like rear demisters) for in-car TV would cost about $170
