Rear holes are 6", so if you HAVE to fit 6x9s, to keep it legal you need to get ugly a** spacers.
Cut the parcel shelf and risk unroadworthiness.

what ever you do just dont cut the rear parcel shelf iv been there and done that and its not worth it.
it will make it harder to sell in the future and if you get a defect "like i did" you will need to weld the sections you cut back in.
just sell the 6x9s and get a desent set of 6 inch or 6.5inch splits for the back.

One thing needs to be remembered here, you are never punished for the crime, only for being caught !

Im thinking of putting 6x9's in the back to with spacers but to make it look good i have to get it all custom but im not really into it as i want it to look standard.

Im also thinking 8inch sub but may not fit becuz of the gas tank????

id say if you want 6x9's just get the spacers, as when u go to sell the car in the future you can take the speakers out and put the old stock ones back in :)

as freak 6 said, keep it legal by using s**t looking spacers, or cut it, personally both look s**t, I'm with freak 6 just get some decent, 6 or 6.5" speakers, save the money you'd be wasting on the spacers.

you can fit a 8 inch pioneer shallow sub, with a spacer. It will fit above the shelf, under the carpet. i had one in my old ef with gas. It works okay, but not as good as a sub in the boot, which is what i have in my new ef.

I have 6x9's in the rear on spacers but the three way sections are starting to melt and hit the cone peice i need new ones at the moment but spacers are the way to go as long they are sealed somewhat and fastened firmly
