4 ohm but it says 4ohm/2ohm+2ohm.

i got the rockford fosgate 15inch but yet to put it in my car! not many people seem to have 15inch subs!!!

I know how to fix the problem, and it will be really cheap and easy...

If you are going to have Four, 4 ohm (2+2ohm) subs and run them at a total of a 1 ohm load, You will have to wire each sub to a 4ohm load (voicecoils in series) and then all four in parallel to the amp.
There is another way - All subs wired with their voicecoils in parallel. Then series two pairs of subs, then parallel both pairs OF pairs to the amp. These are your only two options that I can see, that will let your amp see a 1 ohm load from Four (2+2Ohm) DVC Subs. |

I will just say in terms of one sub but it will be for all four and then independently. The positive of the first voice coil goes to the amp. Then the negative of the first voice coil goes to the positive of the second voice coil. Then the negative of the second voice coil goes to the amp. Install Install Install.
With the right (or wrong) install an 18" Cerwin vega can sound tight as, well, something tight. and 2x stiff spider 10's can sound as loose and woolie as well, something loose and woolie.

Thats what i would be going with, although you will need more power to run it. I think 2 x 12's would be the best bet in a dual sealed enclosure of around 3c/f. Then get an amp capable of 500rms + If you are going to go 2 or more (up to 4 as you discussed) subs, then maybe the Dyn's are the go fro the front stage, you will need some serious midbass to keep up. You will definately need to be running a boot mounted battery or 3....

Okay it say 4ohm/2ohm+2ohm. So does that mean 1 ohm load if running it like that. Sorry but i got lost a little. Cheers |
