Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Metal is not Bon Jovi or Bryan Adams....

Kermey - 15" subs are not efficient and don't sound crisp for every day music (any style)

Oh and DMac - You are wiring your coils in Parallel?

what i have heard is that when i wire it i just run each sub seperately to the terminal on the amp.

If you are going to have Four, 4 ohm (2+2ohm) subs and run them at a total of a 1 ohm load, You will have to wire each sub to a 4ohm load (voicecoils in series) and then all four in parallel to the amp.

There is another way -
All subs wired with their voicecoils in parallel. Then series two pairs of subs, then parallel both pairs OF pairs to the amp.

These are your only two options that I can see, that will let your amp see a 1 ohm load from Four (2+2Ohm) DVC Subs.

I got an idea if you can tell me if this is correct or not. I will just say in terms of one sub but it will be for all four and then independently.

The positive of the first voice coil goes to the amp. Then the negative of the first voice coil goes to the positive of the second voice coil. Then the negative of the second voice coil goes to the amp. Thats what i was think to hook all four subs up....is it right or wrong?

cheers

With the right (or wrong) install

an 18" Cerwin vega can sound tight as, well, something tight.

and 2x stiff spider 10's can sound as loose and woolie as well, something loose and woolie.

.......The amp i 150wrms and the sub is 170wrms. So its pretty matched. I faced it to the front and like it better because it has more sound. When it was to the back i found that the boom and air vibration would kill the sound. I like it better now that its at the front.

..........i will be buying some type R subs..........i am going to be buying four of them.

150rms isn't that much if your cranking the system. I would say the amp is probably clipping. In a sealed box you can certainly run more power into it.

Facing a sub rearwards (rear loading) you can utilise cabin gain but it comes at a price with reflections often causing a boomy response...
Normally it works best in hatchbacks.

You could try building a smaller enclosure for your 12" to make it tighter.

Thats what i would be going with, although you will need more power to run it.
I think 2 x 12's would be the best bet in a dual sealed enclosure of around 3c/f. Then get an amp capable of 500rms +

If you are going to go 2 or more (up to 4 as you discussed) subs, then maybe the Dyn's are the go fro the front stage, you will need some serious midbass to keep up.

You will definately need to be running a boot mounted battery or 3....

So as above for a single sub with dual 4ohm coils will provide an 8ohm load for the amp.

x that by 4 woffers and thats a 2ohm load.

If they are dual 2ohm coils then x 4 woffers gives a 1ohm load.

Okay it say 4ohm/2ohm+2ohm. So does that mean 1 ohm load if running it like that.

Sorry but i got lost a little.
