have put in 2 sony stereos in, one has been in for about 2 years and other about 6 months. never had any problems with them. the missus loves it.

i dont personally like them, but only got it as it had everything the missus wanted and it was the cheapest.

But it does not have a pause button... which is god damn stupid.

I bought this Sony H/U because the colour kind of suits the EF black/grey interior. It's pretty to look out and you get a "ooo" from chicks when you show them how the CD goes in, hehe.

Sony CDXR5610

I may of gone Pioneer, but the ones I saw were ugly and silver things.

Image

and it drives pretty hard... enough to vibrate my rear vision mirror out of whack

thats running off a 222w 2ch sony amp.

proberbly not the finest stuff you can buy but for what you pay, im perfectly happy with it.

all the rest of my stuff is pioneer which i find to be really good stuff.

I'm happy with my Sony MEX-R1 DVD/MP3 Head Unit. However I wont be touching their speakers.

Had a mate who fitted out his Red camry with Sony Xplod Gear, tied in really nice colour wise (red car, red gear) and sounded fantastic. He had xplod head unit, 6 inch fronts, 6x9 rears and a 12"sub running off a 222 amp. Compared to other mates sytems running pioneer gear and others, this system sounded heaps better sound Quality wise and the sub still gave off plenty of crisp, clean bass as aposed to other systems. After hearing that i always thought they were pretty good, but have since read on here and other places how everyone wouldnt touch there gear. And by the looks of it, there are very few for there gear, but a s**t against.

i never been a big fan of the explode stuff, though at the moment i got one of their old 222watt 2 channel amps driving a pioneer 15 that had the cone punched in when i crashed my rav, then glued back together with some gel glue muck

anyway...

yeah its okay, the price was right.

i bought it off a mate about 5 years ago for 30 bucks, it sat in the cupboard for a coupla years, then i gave it to my sister for her car, then she needed money and sold it to my brother for 50, then he bought a lexus, decided he didnt want it and gave it to me.

in short.

i wouldnt have paid for it. but the price was right

I have a couple of 4" in the front doors of my EA, I'll give em one thing - it's better than the stock speakers!! For the price of them they are pretty good (i paid $30 fo rthe pair, as opposed to $60-90 for rival brands), but as they always say you get what you pay for.

I'll soon know what they are truely like when i hook my pioneer deck up... 8-)
