Hi there
I am looking to replace the speakers in my EL Ghia with the following Jaycar CS-2327 6" Splits - Front Jaycar CS-2324 6.5" Kevlar 2 Way - Rears Has anyone installed these speakers successfully without the use of spacers? Do they fit correctly. Hoping for the rears that I can hide the speakers beneath the factory covers. Cheers |

Hey mate,
I had a guy do his EL with 2 sets of 6" Response splits.. the 6.5"s just didn't fit in the rear without a spacer.. I also made him up a custom 8" Spacer to fit a venom 8" sub in the parcel shelf but as he had lpg it needed a 60mm spacer.. System came up really good in my opinion.. Cheers, NIK |

Thanks for the reply WIKWOK
So the 6" response splits are the way to go for the front. Is there enough clearence behind the speaker for the doors. Mounting depth is around 60mm for the el's isn't it? Did you mount the tweeter in the factory location? Is it just a matter of gluing the tweeter to the factory location or can you actually screw it in somehow? I heard someone used the 6.5" jaycar speakers with the adjustable inbuilt tweeter for the rear. Wonder if it would require a spacer. I am sure it was mounted the the factory covers still in place. |

Yeah we mounted the front tweeters in the stock location on the dash.. I used the existing tweeter mount bracket and modified it to suit the new tweeter.. Speaker depth in the doors was fine..
We tried to fit the 6.5" in the rear but it did need a spacer.. probably 6 - 9mm would do it but we just wanted simple install so he decided to go for 6" splits all round.. Used the response supplied grills in the rear but painted them cream colour.. Cheers, Nik |

I can confirm what WIKWOK is saying, I used the same speakers.
I installed the splits with no hassles, but the rears needed spacers. |
