Huggiebear: your parcel shelf idea is a brilliant one, might just have to have a look around the wreckers this week and track one down. Still haven't boxed in the sub properly , the sound deadener does seem to be doing a decent job but I have left my decision on the fibreglassing until I have heard the complete set-up do its thing (any day now!) |

6x9's are absoloutely fine as long as you set the crossovers correctly, they just try to play every frequency in the world and it ends up kind of muddy.

this is all coming together quit nicly now.
great work. just like huggiebear said track down a grill for the sub hole in the parcel shelf or make your own out of some mesh or something similar. fillters through nicly my mate has done it.

Just a heads-up, you can pick up an 8 inch metal speaker grill for 6 bucks from jaycar, it's what i chucked in my ride.

thats all my mate did took the grill off his old 6.5's and put one in the parcel shelf.
