I rescently bought a second hand JVC KD-DV5000 head unit for my brothers VL to go along with his Jaycar response 7" TFT monitor and the seller didn't include a wiring diagram. I've got all the wires down pat except for the one that stops it from displaying the warning message on the screen whilst trying to watch DVD's.

Anyone know which wire it is?

what colours have u got? i wont be black, blue, red or yellow, or your speakers pairs which should be grey green pink and white pairs, each paired with a black stripe, which leaves one wire prolly brown or orange, take that wire to ground and u should be fine

yup. ive got EXACTLY the same unit. will look tongiht for you, but im pretty sure it s the longer blue one which just s need to be looped into a 12volt source. I'll check it out for you.

oh i thought it was a park brake sensor problem if its a remote on problem just connect the blue wire to an ignition source

There are 2 blue wires. One with a white stripe which the bright spark of a previous owner had chopped up so that theres only an inch of it sticking out the back of the headunit, and an all blue wire which I think has a plug on it of some description. The other 2 wires are orange and a light green wire IIRC. The previous owner gave us the user manual but not the installation manual. I've looked everywhere for a wiring dirgram/installation manual but to download a copy of the net I have to pay for it.

Also the bright spark of a previous owner had left the wiring to the TV attached to the wiring of his camry when he removed it so my brother has had to go out and by a jaycar monitor cause apparently they do not sell pluigs to fit into the back of any source unit or monitor on their own.

black:-earth
yellow:-to live terminal in the fuse block connecting to the car battery (bypassing the ignition switch)
red:-to an accessory terminal in the fuse block
blue:-to automatic antenna
blue with white stripe:-to remote lead of other equipment
orange with white stripe:-to car lightinh system
brown:-to mobile phone system
Light green:-to parking brake or chassis of car

I think the light green one is the one you are after to play DVD's while driving. just loop it back into 12 volt. PM with your details and i can send you a copy of it all if you want.
