If your in the market for DVD headunits, then go Alpine DVA 9965. Awesome unit, the most feature packed unit with AWESOME SQ to boot.

Built on the F1 status platform it is almost identical and half the price.

u r always gonna have different opinions

I had 2 JVC cd players in the past and found them ok, but just ok

now I have a pioneer dvd player with full pioneer exquipment and love it all... different people have their opinions so do your research, have a look at dvd players hooked up in shops, and see which u like the best

I have the AVX2 from JVC. I have a Santana 5.1 DVD-Audio disc and the unit reproduces the music at 192KHZ/24BIT resolution, and the sound is described as simply stunning. I'll get you the name of the disc when I get home.

yeah the AVX2 is a good headunit, but it really suits a multiscreen application, as a 3 inch screen is too small.
The AVX700 i think? would be a better buy, the double din one.

That DVD-Audio disc is Shamen by Santana. Played back at 5.1 DVD-Audio, it is what I would class as a bit of a reference disc. And the skins of the drums on track 10, Sideways, from the front stage hit you hard, and are mouth wateringly well reproduced with this unit. They are on my Alpine speakers anyway.

Did you look at the DVA 9965? its an awesome unit although you would need a slave screen to run with it.

I didn't install it flush fitting coz I like the screen to come out of the dash and tilt up to me when I turn on the car.
