um nah jamie it should be ok so long as your not running the gains too high on the amp which would clip and put dc on the speakers, so if theres no distortion, then its fine, if there is distortion just turn it down a touch :D and you will have no worries

Chances are the amp will give up from working hard long before the sub even begins to think about it.

Wouldnt running it for a while overheat the voice coil inside the sub?? Cause i know that one of those test thingies (The 30Hz voice one) is constant

30hz sound wave isnt constant as such, its a sine wave. as long as your within the power limits of the sub, and the amp isnt clipping your sub should play all day

Yeah i bought the CD, its not too bad. Depends what mood im in..

The sound test things are alright, but useless in real world applications, running the songs loud will give you more pleasure. As for damaging your stuff, i wouldnt be too concerned about that, just dont push it past its limits and theyll live to kick another note or two

Are you guys talking about the Ministry of Sound compliation? Or one of those 90's style 'Bass' CD's? :)

If I can find it ... I'll dig it out.
I should make copies ... I am finding it hard to find the Bass Mekanic CDs anywhere.

I might have to look on the net for them .. probably readily available in the US I guess.
