To all those with motorised screens in the car, how much clearnece does the screen ahve from the dash surround and the gearstick?

Ive gone into this in depth in another thread with pics showing this also.
With installed in the lower DIN the gearshifter (ON AUTO) clears by around 3cm. In manual, i doubt it would clear at all! In the top position it might tho? -

Mine clears!
mine is in the top position i used a single din surround I have had to have it sit out a bit so you can get a good viewing angle to clear dash surround

my h/u has 2 different extension lengths. i had to use the furthest out from the dash but you should be in a better situation - the au/au2 have a very sloping dash.
distance from shifter? it's a fair way above so it's not a concern.

yeah mine a jvc screen in the top din and it clears the suround by about 5mm the veiwing angle is fine and just make sure the screen u get has a seting to bring it out further
