i got sum brackets to mount my uhf on the boot of my EL, that come out of the side of the boot, want one for radio and the other for UHF, except the cables too thick to come out the gap in the boot, is there anyway i can change the sheilded wire to a thinner one to fit ? i dont know much about the cables but i know there like sheilded and have aground n s**t, guess what i need is a thinner uhf type cable any ideas?

If you have proper shielded then yeah, it's going to be really thick! Go to West Coast Hi-Fi and ask for RG-58 cable. It's the thinnest antenna wire you'll get and it's still half decent :)

If they don't have any at West Coast then go to Leading Edge and go out the back to the little shop there, that guy has *everything*
