MTX subs and amps are pretty good, as long as your looking at mid spec quality up. They are pretty $$$ tho.

im using the MTX monoblock and 2 MTX 12 inch subs and i can tell you they are fantastic. altho lower priced they still go hard. im yet to find an issue.

when i upgrade ill be getting the dual voice coil subs as i couldnt afford them before. more MTX amps are on my books too. altho i want matching series which is hard when you buy older series amps lol

i used to have a JBL 12 inch sub and a kick solobaric (older round one) and in my opinion the MTX sound nicer.

I'd hate to tell you bud but most brands go harder than SONY.

MTX are nice as. My old Galant had two 12" MTX subs with an MTX Monoblock Thunder amp. They pumped hard. Pic below...

im runnin mtx up front (pioneer down back all off pioneer amp) and MTX sub running of mtx amp. all works sweet as even theres a hole in the subs rubber due to some1 throwing a car jack through it.

i luv the stuff.

PS. does any1 know if and where you can get the rubber replaced, its too big to repair (bout 2" slot)
cheers

Mtx isn't the highest quality gear. Strathfield only stock low/cheap range gear.

But hey even boss gear can sound ok...

You won't find a real car audio places selling MTX, I'd name some decent ones for you, but I'm not sure as your in sydney.

http://www.caraudioaustralia.com/conten ... ntentID=57 Will list you some good places.

http://www.npsonline.com.au/ I've heard good things about.

Go the mtx gear if your not looking to spend more then $100 though.
