I have finally started to organise some parts that I have wanted for my car, so i decided to start on the boot install. All I have done so far is mount 2 mdf panels. The first panel is behind the rear seat and has had a pioneer VCCS 12inch free air sub fitted and the panel painted black. The second panel is behind the sub to give the impression of a sub box and to be a place to mount some of the stuff that should be ready to install in a couple of weeks. To be installed is a 300w power inverter, 350w 2 channel amp, input and output audio and video plugs for the dvd system and neons that will be hidden behind panels so only a wash of light can be seen. Anyways here are a couple of pictures

Well it looks nice and simple...I like it .
Though one thing, it is a free-air sub, so you shouldn't have that back MDF board spanning across the whole rear of the sub...you basically have enclosed the sub. Free-air subs use the boot as the box...just thought I'd let you know since I have free-air subs too (2 x 10" VCCS Pioneer) and they sound better if the a** just sticks into the boot without any enclosure behind it. check in my gallery to see how my free-air subs are sitting. phong =P~

Today I started on a central draw that is mounted under the high mount stop light. The draw will be used to hold first aid kits and a couple of basic tools. The draw has been made big enough to hold my laptop that has an s-video output and will plug into the existing dvd system

i'm loving it mate, it looks VERY tidy. i myself have a 12" fusion sub and amp, but am sick of having a sub box in my boot, i wanna do something like you have. how exactly did you mount the mdf panels to the car if you don't mind me asking?
would you be able to PM me a couple of close up pics of how you mounted the panels?

yes the boot skin does say venomous as for the mdf panel, they are held in with a couple of brackets and screws on the sides and the draw just stablises the rear panel
