depends on how long he plans to run the car at pretty full on levels otherwise he wont need it...plus it costs a heft figure to connect your car up to 240v and run it reliably for long periods of time.

For SPL comps it must be powered by the cars battery without any chargers etc... connected. You can charge it inbetween runs.

tHANKS ALL.

No nick unfortunately i will not make it. I have my car off the road for a serious SQ upgrade (another thread on that later) and have t spend the weekend finishing the SPL car for the comp next weekend.

I have a few friends that work for Pioneer and they infornmed me they know the Pioneer have never been metered. He does not believe they will be anywhere near 150dB as all of ths sub boxes are sealed and not built for SPL per say (although obviously loud)

Building for SPL generally requires you to build the box to peak at a specific freqnency and very much brace box etc.... The pioneer ones were built to shocase musical molume and for show so they play overal loud but do not have a large peak at a specific frequency.

Well initial set-up looks good.

Testing will be on Wednesday night so hope to see some promosing numbers for competition. I'd be happy with high 140's after initial testing but we will see how we go.

Yes not sure how much voltage is going to drop with that size cable and battery but i bet it will once it gets burping. Amps are rated at 6,400rms between them so they will be working..

What? You mean working as a Human Resources Manager.
It’s not that glamorous, pretty dry actually.

Oh you mean testing the amps and speakers etc…
Yeah well in get told off by my wife for wasting time and money on it but hopefully she will see the light if I get another Australian Title.

some how I don’t think she will
