This is what i was after when i was asking if anyone had sealed off their boot from their cabin and installed their sub firing into the cabin. Pyro had something close. Anyway i'm part way through my install so i thought i would post up some pics.
Pic from inside the boot, the sub will be boxed from behind but im making up a custom box and its taking time The carpet will be trimmed to fit, not sure if i will cut a hole out of the carpet for the sub so you can see it, might be a bit wanky, what do you think? Here are two pics without the carpet, i sprayed the mdf with enamel to avoid the possibility of the mdf soaking up moisture during winter The sides of the mdf that you can see light through will be fixed, I will use high density rubber to totally seal the boot off Comments/suggestions? |

you'd need a free air sub to do that. i am pretty sure pyro's setup had a box behind that cover sheet of wood.
is that clarion a free air sub? if it isn't the boot will be way to large for it and if it is then there are gaps which will decrease the efficiency of the sub. Rhyso

Rhyso To answer both your questions read the first post Quote: Pic from inside the boot, the sub will be boxed from behind but im making up a custom box and its taking time Quote: The sides of the mdf that you can see light through will be fixed, I will use high density rubber to totally seal the boot off
