yeah its really good, you get to here the music so clearly when its right near you like that.... only down side is if you have a passanger, when they lift there arm up it sort of blocks the sound from there side a little bit

Turn the sub box around, so the sub is firing back towards the back of the car. It will sound a lot better / louder.

Not saying your outright wrong, but why am I getting most of the the sound joints Im going to telling me that subs, should be firing into the cabin for clearer, louder sound? or is this just a personal preference sorta thing?

mine are firing into the cabin very happy with it.
from what ive heard firing into the cabin provides a more punchy sharp bass note, for punk etc its good. (told its usually better SQ) but firing at the back of the boot gives a deeper bassier (did i just make that word up?) note that is usually associated with SPL.

So if firing into cabin is better SQ and rear of car is SPL, that would mean by having by having a ported sub into cabin is the best of both worlds?? lol

Rear firing the sub will give you a louder output due to cabin gain, obviously everyones preferences and setups are different, so the only way to really find out would be to give it a go - it wouldnt be hard to turn the box around anyway.
Theres a bit of interesting reading on this topic here http://installer.com/tech/aiming.html A box thats ported into the cabin may or may not work due to design. You will get cancellation at certain frequencies due to phase differences between whats coming from the sub, and whats coming from the port, also you will get more port noise in the cabin. Im guessing with the amp southy's using, he isnt going for outright SQ anyways, so in that case, it would probably sound better overall having it rear firing. |

i like the install, the subs r ok, but be careful of the cones they are quite brittle, and as far as ur sq / spl war goes, its more for personal preference, i find it easier to tune with a rear firing sub as u get a cleaner bass note in the cab, compared to a harder hitting bass note when the sub is firing towards the cab... if that makes sence. however you will get more feel out of a sub that fires towards the cab (another reason why my 2 face the boot)
