has any 1 seen these?? they are selling in jb hifi my mate bought some for his ute the other day hasnt installed them yet tho. apparntly they are designed for ppl with no space.... the box only has to be as deep as the sub it self they are very wierd looking. but i was thinknig would this not solve the gas tank sound system problem. i thinking of going gas atm so was thinking of two of these infront of the tank could be kinda fun i reakon

yes there was a reveiw in incar magazine last month. If your looking at them, try find a copy of last months incar in newsagents or if you like the sound of your mates one...go for it.

Pioneer are not the only ones making them. Earthquake and others make them too. They work by having the voice coil mounted in front of the cone so in fact the voice coil is where the dust cap would normally be.
Great idea and certainly has it's uses but remember it comes at the expense of output so they have limited cone movement (& cone cooling).
