Take the money from the cap and put it towards the front speakers :)

Soundstream is a good brand, you shouldn't have any issues with their amps.

ive been looking at Rockford fosgate stuff

P3 12" D4 x 2 subs

and not sure what to runn them off, maybe like a P6001 or something.
or T10001BD
NUNBER OF CHANNELS - 1 / MONO

500 WATTS X 1 @ 4 Ohms

750 WATTS X 1 @ 2 Ohms

1000 WATTS X 1 @ 1 Ohms

LOWPASS 32-250hz

POWER WIRE GAUGE - 1 Awg

looking at around 700 -750 aus for this amp. would this be good for the P3 which are rated

frequency response 20-200 Hz
power range 100-500 watts RMS
peak power handling 1,000 watts

i have standard batery not a optimal one, so a cap would be the best bet.

and have 4 guage cable..

would that be alright.

Unfortunately, caps don't run anything... They attempt to filter voltage fluctuations. An EF has a decent size alternator and you're not running massive power so a cap is NOT REQUIRED. All a cap is going to do is reduce your headlight dimming if you get headlight dimming at all.

I'd run 2ga if using that Rockford amp and a 4 channel.

well i get a little bit of head light dimming, so i may as well geet the capacitor for the sake of 200. which isnt included in that total price.

so far come up with

1 x P3 12 D4 subs
1 x T10001bd. amp 1000rms at 1 ohm
1 x T4004 4 channel amp.
1 x pair Pioneer TSC160R 6 1/2" component speakers.
1 x pair Rockford fosgate T1 6" REAR speakers.
1 x 2.5 farad capacitor Rockford fosgate.
2 x 6" Head rest Monitors.
and 8m of 2ga wiring. and RCA ect..

all this c*m up to $2600.

anything else i might need.

Yeah, spend the extra $200 on front speakers. You'll get heaps better speakers than those Pioneer's. Look at Boston Acoustic, Focal, Oz Audio, and other "better" brands if you're after good sound.

What's more important to you... How good it sounds or having a cap?

I'm just telling you this so YOU can build a BETTER system, not buying a cap doesn't benefit me at all :)

I think that should be good to run your system....though i dunno why u would need a cap but if it helps stop ur headlights from dimming it would be a good idea.

btw the 2ga wiring kit comes with a fuse? assuming you are buying a kit.

One other thing try to keep the front and rear peaker brand the same. Just to get the sound right. A P6001 will comfortably runtwo 12 inch subs. I have the P2's and they are great so the P3's should be awesome. Use the power 6.5 inch splits for front speakers they also are great speakers.
