hey guys and gals, im new to this area of sound system, and i was wondering if anybody could tell me, what is the difference between a 4 way speaker set, and a 2 way set? i have looked around this forum and cant find a substantial amount of information... would anybody also tell me how much money it would take to get a descent sound system, without buying a subwoofer?

One more thing, (hope its no hassle asking all this), but i have a Forte AUII, but i have no idea wat the power output is of the head deck, or the power capacity of the speakers, also, would the forte have come with an amp?

how much do you want to spend??

just saying "something basic" covers a lot of ground, some people think $500 is a stupid amount to spnd, where others can spend $20k and still not have a basic setup

im planning to spending at the moment about $400... and maybe later on when i get more $$$ add on

for a start, get a decent headunit, a Pioneer DEH-P5750MP will set you back around $450-500 if you shop around

how much do you want to spend on the rest of the system?
