How much faster does that system make your car go?

Oh, not any faster. Meh I'm not jealous.

Nice setup though.

Well when i arrived home and moved the gear into the house, i was in the unfortunate position of doing it in front of my dodgy neighbours. Now i actually know these people steal cars, do drugs etc etc so it wasn't the best timing. Still, they know i know, and i know they know i know, so i'll know. You know?

$3800 is easy when on a student's income and you use AGC to pay monthly. What a pleasure. Only thing now is no-one's going to insure me. Bastards. It's getting installed next thurs, so hopefully i'll have some piccos for everyone by the friday. I'll probably hang around while they do the install so that i can take progress pics.

ahh i know now, after you told me that you know and they know, and now i know, so we all should know, that if your car gets broken into, you'll know that they did it and ill know too, and they will know that you and I know they did it.. :P

And im sure it'll be replaced within the next few weeks as well. Pulse touch is very very strange... That makes me go green....

Does look like an awesome setup youve got tho - should boom.

(PS. That's half a supercharger installation ;))

That particular head unit is almost $3800 on its own! No god-damn way i was gonna fork out that much on something so superfluous. I bought this equipment because when it all works together, it'll sound unbelievable. Whoever buys that particular head unit is after late nights parked in a field somewhere with a woman, watching some chick flick on the little screen in surround sound. Now what on earth would i need surround sound for when all i listen to is Doof Doof?

AGC's only bad if you don't keep up with the payments. If you are vigilant in that respect, then there's nothing to worry about.

true true, i know a few people whom have the card and can't seem to pay it off.

although i bought my fridge and washing machine on my card with 36months interest free, so I just do double payments each month, only a killer if u go after the interest free period, then hello 27.5% interest!

Yep, interest free's what i did, but i can wear the extra payment each month without any big problems. And if there should be an emergency, the parentals are only a phone call away, and i haven't p****d them off yet this year.

Some Doof Doof is recorded in 5.1 channel Dobly Digital Surround Sound.
I was trying to justify buying a $3300.00 screen with DD/DTS decoding the other day. I can't be bothered watching movies on my PC let alone in the car. Then at home I put on the new Motley Crue DVD which is all in 5.1 surround. And the spaciousness and quality and depth was mind blowing. The sound stage is heady, now that would be incredible in the car. And you get to have the picture of the concert on the screen as a bonus. 8-)

That's like the difference between wearing a casio watch and an oakley watch. The casio one has enough features to do everything you'll ever need and is relatively cheap, the oakley one is unnecessarily expensive, and for what? - just some stylish metal sculpting and street cred.

5.1 Surround in your car is a waste of money unless you intend to watch movies, which i don't. And especially when i weigh the $3300 price tag to the $1100 there's no deliberation to be made.

Seriously, there's a fine line between form and function, and that surround unit crosses it. It's only for people who show their cars or have too much money for no good reason. My system is gonna be perfect for me, and i wouldn't change any part of it.

But of course, each to their own.
