hhi all,
first let me just say...
GET THE BLOODY SEARCH UP AND RUNNING

sorry everyone but i tried to search for existing topics in this forum but no search funcion, and got bored after flicking through 16 pages of topics.

i have this urge to install one of those uhf cb and scanners in my au2 fairmont somewhere. im thinkning about the type with the seperate head unit, placing that inside the centerconsole and somehow wiring the whole thing into my cars stereo. i really have no use for the uhf, i mainly want it as it isnt as obvious to police as having a dedicated scanner in the car. but the ufh would also come in handy.

what are your thoughts?
has anyone else done this, where have you put it, and do you have photos for me

regards, mick

Scanner wont do you much good now sseing as though the Police are now running onthe digital encripted network. The old days of listening in on the UHF band are over.
Why dont you want a scanner as such. They are not illegal to have in the car. They are only illegal if you use information off them for illegal activity.

So you say you live around Redcliffe/Bribie and the Sunshine Coast which is in Queensland.
Your location is in Victoria?
Which one of your personalities drive the unmarked Silver SS with Victorian plates if you live in Queensland?

If you want to search fordmods, google does a better job of it than the forum every did..

go to google and type in your search terms.. then after that, paste this in:
site:fordmods.com

and the search will only look in fordmods.

for the record I think both garmin and uniden sell the units you want... I don't know about now, but back when I was selling them, they were around $440 for the garmin.

its great how you keep saying you want to "drop it" but you insist on calling people morons in the same sentence, or resort to petty threats of police corruption/harrassment with mentioning my numberplate.

this is a forum where people post personal details in good faith, and we dont need people like you abusing this........
