When I got my car the CD player had sort of been butchered in and I never got around to fixing it. I am installing another CD player now and the wiring is all fine and everything works but I am having trouble with the mounting brackets. I have sourced the 2 metal brackets that screw into the headunit and the dash but I don't know the proper size screws to use and where the hell it lines up. Does the metal rectangular bracket/sleeve thing that is around my head unit have any use at all?

you can use it either way.use the brackets, it might just take a short while to get it in the right position.you can use the cradle to mount it in but its more secure with the brackets and wont move.easy to do, but thats just me as i do em all the time.lol

if its a problem with sitting in or out to far, you'll have to measure and re drill holes in the bracket itself.

Anyone have any idea what type of screws are needed? I have no idea when it comes to that sort of stuff and can't find anything in my bucket of screws that will work well.
