Hey Guys.

I have a 2010 FG XR6 Turbo 50th Anniversary Ute arriving at the end of the month. It will have the premium audio system with the 6 disc and 8 speakers (but no sub woofer like the sedans).

My questions are:

1. Can the sedan sub woofer be fitted into the ute,

2. If so, where is it normally located (in the sedan) or where can it be located in a ute, and

3. Is it plug and play so to speak (existing wiring loom) or does it require taking the dash apart and a soldering iron.

Hope some one can shed some light . . . ?

Hey Mate,

As far as i know ive never heard of a sub coming with a ute.

What your better off doing is getting an AMP that allows you to use the back speaker wires as the input for the AMP, Alpine and Pioneer sell these amps and get yourself a subby from JB's. Ive attached an image so you can see what im talking about, you can see both RCA and Speaker input.

You can even get a device that turns your speaker wires into RCA's, but i think the first option is your best bet.

Good Luck,
