has anyone fit some spacers for a falcon with the centre belt thing there? isnt it in the way? how do you get around this.

I used 12mm MDF spacers to fit 6.5" speakers in the rear, they sit under the the carpeted section.

yeah u can do it 2 ways 1 cut the shelfe and pit them in and with 6 by 9 cut them in but do it long way not the normal way but its not leagal seem as u r cutting the shelfe the other is mdf spaces covered in carpet or something like that good luck

i've painted my 6x9 spacers black and placed them long ways, but a mate did something interesting recently. in his EF Fairmont he pulled the carpet off the shelf, attached a set of 6x9 spacers onto it then glued a new layer of carpet (just super cheap stuff) over the top... cut out holes for the speakers and put the shelf back in... speakers still long ways but it looks great... matches the seat belt hump.. i'll try and get a picture up here
