I've noticed a bit of vibration from the parcel shelf when I have the stereo on a decent volume. What is the best way to fix it? I checked the speakers and they are nice and tightly secured. Also noticed some vibration from the bootlid too.

Some sound deadener should fix that. You can get sheets from Jaycar, car audio shops etc... even Bunnings I think.

Would the sound deadener also solve the problem of the vibrating bootlid?

It will if you put the sound deadener mat under the bootlid. You can get a Dynamat Boot Kit which does the floor, sides and bootlid I think. Have a look on Ebay.
Its probably a good idea to put some rubber under your license plate too as thats a common place for vibrations/rattles.

Matey - when you say "vibration" what do you mean?

i had an ED which rattled like buggery with the sub turned on....

went to a lot of trouble to damp the parcel shelf, all to no avail,

until i found that it was the rear stop light that was rattling away...

i just put a ruddy great cable tie around it - and the problem was solved!

cheers,
