hey guys, im in the process of updating my stereo it the au ute... just wondering if anyone had a good setup behind the seats. and could you please post pics if you have them...
im trying to decide between 1 12in sub sitting behind the centre console and mounting the amps on the back wall, with a set of 6x9s or 6's cut into the wall at the b-pillar like the BA's have, or 2 12's behind each seat, not to be loud as, just for a punch onto the seat so i can feel it, with the amps mounted behind the centre console in a custom setup with a good set of 5x7 splits in the front... so if anybody has had any troubles, got any other ideas, photos etc, it would all be much appreciated... cheers

my dad has a auIII pursuit ute and has two 10" subs one behind each seat with the amp in the middle. 12" was too tight of a fit.
Let me tell you when these things are going not only can you feel the punch in the seat but if its really cranked you WILL feel your chest tighten considerably. BTW these are only cheapish subs and amp as well, maybe cost 400 all up. This includes subs boxes and amp and amp wiring

Looks good! Im in the process of completing the same sorta set up in my au xr6 ute. Splits for the front, amp under passenger seat and new pioneer head unit to replace the 6 stacker (got the pocket for the hole). Wont be running a sub, not keen atm but might upgrade later on
Making any more mods to your au besides audio? |
