I've installed a Pioneer AVH-P5750DVD, and I don't want it set so the image won't show on the screen when the hand brake is off (I'm well aware of the legalities and dangers, etc.), so with the park brake wire I connected it to first the accesories power and then tried the constant power, but the unit keeps saying can't play image while vehicle moving (or soemthing along those lines). Any ideas? The instructions definately say to connect the park brake connection to the power side of the handbrake.

Yep - just ground the handbrake wire and it will work all the time.
Beware - in SA if you get pulled over by the Police you must show that the handbrake switch is active on front DVD LCD screens. I have mine on a switch so that I can activate the handbrake switch when required.

Ummm... One person whinged... 3 people answered you and 2 people defended you in your thread on CAA. I can't see how that makes the people on CAA the biggest cry babies. If you want rice, go to Fast Fours, not CAA.

Anyway, handbrake wires go to earth.

yer talkin to a mate who works at strathfields over here and he was sayin when they do installs they hook em up so that all u have to do is pull the handbrake up like one notch and they will work. with the handbrake up one notch it doesnt actually engage or anythin but if cops pull u up it looks all legal. dodgey bastards haha
