in my car, under the shelf, is a spot for a sub, now i know this is for the premium sound sub or wateva, what i want to know is, what sized sub can i fit in there? in terms of 10" 12" and all that, because i would like to put one in there. much appreciated.

8" - i'm under the impression a decent 8 is hard to get a hold of - you'd be much better off, if you want decent sound, with a 10 or 12 inch sub in the boot

Yer, the 8 inch isnt bad, but a 10 or 12 would be better..
Id like to upgrade my speakers/sub but i want my boot to look stock - VERY hard when trying to upgrade sub/s.. might see if this will do till the upgrade.

You are gonna need an amp also.

I tried to fit a sub in that space, using the connections already available, then I found the amp bracket behind the carpet on the right wall of the boot. I thought I would just be able to connect it, silly me. But I dont know anything about radios, cd players etc....

So when I found out that I would have to buy an amp as well, the plan went out the window for now.

yea, unless you wanna build a box under the parcelshelf, you're gonna have to get a freeair sub

a freeair sub basically means the sub's cones suspension is stiffer to compensate for the lack of a box

the bass from the factory sub is minimal and with vibrations in the parcel shelf. A 10" driver in a box is alot more efficient and it will leave you with plenty of boot space. i have mine mounted with velcro to stop it sliding and can be unplugged or moved if ever needed.

bit hard unless you want an 8" free air sub to pop right in though...
