I have a Ford factory alarm in my EL Falcon and the back up battery has s**t it self.Ive tried every where for a replacement battery and have had no luck what so ever.Does anyone know if I can buy a whole siren replacement to suit the alarm at all ?

Well I'm glad i did a search of the forum before posting my question.
I got the same question, has anybody ever found a replacement battery for the factory EF/EL car alarm. Mine's shagged. batteryworld quoted about $60 for a new one. Cheers, Jason |

Just to add to this, The cells are avaliable, and around $30 to buy.
However there are issues with these alarms, so much in fact they're know to cause fires. They're mounted next to the exhaust manifold, ie: heat, they're also known to overcharge the cells and they 'can' expolde. replace, ammend location, or upgrade is my only advice.
