Hi I recently brought a new head unit and it installed fine except there is no sound from the rear two channels. I get nothing out of the rear speakers. Even if I set the fade all the way to rear i still get nothing. Is there a way I can check if the plug is faulty or if its the deck or what?

Next step is probably a nice exhaust or stage 2 stereo.

the wires at the back of the HU might have come off by accident. or u have wired them wrong. if not the rear speakers might not be connected or polarities are not the right way.

if all fails get ur H/U checked. the plug behind the HU might even be faulty.

phong =P~

just wondering if you got connectors to connect them up or just cut the wiring and connect it all up that way.

I used a connectors on mine and 1 rear speaker didnt work cos a pin got bent (cheap nasty crap) so ended up cutting and soldering up the wires direct. also make sure that the spear wire pins are in the right spot on the connector if you did it that way, cos sometimes they get it wrong, drove me nuts trying to figure my problem out

well I brought it 2nd hand from a guy, The plug is from a brand new head unit that the guy brought before selling it to me because he didnt want to have to cut his clarion plug out and rewire it in again. The plug is still clarion and fits in the plug perfectly but could it be the wrong setup? its a bloody public holiday so no car audio shops are open damnit.
