hello im thinking of putting a ps2 in my glove box and was wondring how to go about it i no i ned a lcd screen and ill get a dvd player too any idas or help would be grate.

why get a dvd player, doesnt ps2 play dvds?
you will need a power inverter 150+ W and a tv screen and away you go

first of all it wont fit in the glove box. even the dvd player wont fit without cutting the back out

a slimline ps2 you can put just about anywhere these things are tiny! get your self a roofmount this way you can keep your headunit or even having headrest screens or a all in one headunit
that way you wont have to do any unrepairable dash cutting |

would you be able to mount it under the ods seat? soit is out of view and half out of the way?

Normal size ps2 will fit no probs under the seat. I had one in the fairlane. Just made up a board with a trim panel, carpeted in black, and it could hardly be seen. Still allowed access to the control plugs etc. Actually, I might still have it lying around somewhere at home. If you drop round some time, if you like how it fits, its yours.

mine sits under the seat pretty comfortably, however sometimes when moving the seat forward and back you hear sounds which are best not heard
With the power supply I got lazy and simply stuck a supercrap auto inverter which plug up to the ashtary, tidying it all up is on my to do list

thanks low el my slimline one is too small ill think about it beause i might get a normal one for the car and keep the slimline one for my house.

hey!
i've got the full size one, it's too big for me to put in the car with all the other stuff. i've never used it. it's silver. i would like to swap for a small one.

I was reading a book a while ago about the whole "PS2 in the car" thing. They suggested two things basically, use a power invertor, or if your a nifty modder, actually change the power supply on the PS2 board itself. It sounded really interesting and more practical, but i cant remember if it was hard or not lol

i've got all the details on how to convert it to run on 12volts.
i'm having trouble finding the particular power regulator Ic though.
