I am making some progress with the PYROAY SQ install for 2006 and have finally got some pictures to show.

Full DLS System, a Sweedish company renowned for their SQ products and SQ results overseas (Scott Budwalda amongst many others) in Europe and the US but less well known here in OZ. There is a lot of man hours in the car so far and it is still a fair way from completion but so far a special thanks to the following.

Phatt Audio Concepts: - Sam and Shane, guys have been awesome doing the install working all day and most nights to get it done in a good timeframe.

Eurotech Imports – (Distributors of DLS) Davide Feltrin, Thanks for your support on the project so far. Dave has provided great help with some of the technical specs of the products as well as a few DLS recommendations such as how long DLS recommend running in speakers etc…………..

Anyway on to the install pics as shown below and I will update them every couple of days or so.

The car just as a reminder for those who aren’t familiar with it.

Initial Sound Deadening of roof, boot, doors etc…
HEAPS of sound deadening used here and boy does it make a difference.
A combination of Sound Off- spray on and Stinger Roadkill

Roof

Boot

Front Stage
Haven’t done much work on the front stage as yet. I’m waiting to connect all of the amps and then try different positions while the speakers are playing.. Probably end up with 8â€￾ in the floor firing up, and mids and tweeters either in the kick panels or A-pillars and dash.

Cabin

We still have to add some LED’s and switches into this panel then it will be vacuum mounded to match the car

Rear Fill

Bandpass rear fill probably playing around 300 –3k

Wow Aaron!
Looks like some fun times ahead for you :D
That custom panel with the Wolf hand controller is a neat idea.
I'm in awe, this will be fantastic when it's all positioned and tuned.
Will be there any changes to your boot install, or are you keeping the same layout?

nice work mate, i love your car everytime i see it...nothing better than a hot, muscular EF/EL with the balls to back it up AND audio that blows you away.

knowing me you'll probably finish your install before i do and i only have 2-way splits, no rears, one amp and a sub to come.

Rhyso

G'day

Ive been going since the start of january and i'm still nowhere near finished.

Looks good again aaron, keep it up. Those subs look very plain against other subs but who needs looks when you can have the sound quality! Some people will only look at the material side of them.

All in the same colour as the car, I LIKE!!!!!!

Cheers

Looking good Aaron !!

No doubt a few late nights still to be had :D

Be interesting to see where the final position of your front stage will end up.

Gotta give Shiny a run for his money this year :D :D

Thanks all.

Yes the speakers are pretty plain looking. The grills a re a bit more interestinh, which i quite like although it is a matter of personal taste and there will be those who dont like them.

I guess DLS let their speakers do the talking and i have heard some of their SQ subs set up well and they are very impressive.

It will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the IDMAX, because i loved ecery aspect of those subs, looks, power handling, voice coil options and SQ sound. They will be hard to beat.

Yes the guy your refering to is the owner of the company that imports it so he gets the gear a little cheaper than i do.

Gear cost a bit but hoping ti will be all be worth it.

Aaron

DLS reccomenend 100hrs of run in time so the gear played a combination of sweeps and music for 100hrs straight.
