Ok it's been a while since an update since the panel beater I use takes forever to paint things but here is some more pics, we are finally getting there. Note it’s also been delayed by the fitting of the 6 speed to my car…

I also changed to the Dynaudio 8â€￾ instead of the 7â€￾s on the floor pods so there is a couple of door pod / sound-deadening shots here.
I did a sound test after making the pods before and after sound deadening the doors. There was a HUGE difference I would say a 100% improvement with the doors properly sound deadened…

Just to break up things a bit I made a mirror pyramid for the middle. It lights up from inside with a neon and I have multicolored fireworks reverse airbrushed from the inside that face you + "X-Max" reverse etched on the back side of the Pyramid which , when reflected off the back mirror appears to be the right way around… (excuse the dust at this point)
Image

A nice little way to house the power and earth distribution blocks for the system, backlight with a few neons (note 4 pictured w/2 more missing Image

The stinger accessories themselves have built in LED's chasing in a set paten + voltage and amperage displays in BLUE LEDâ€￾s
Image

Thoroughly sound deadened doors now house the Dyn 8"s
Image

Note There will be a seperate Tutorial shortly on the build of these simple fibreglass door pods + sound deadening and detailed EL door dimenstions to assit those contemplating door mounting...

Nice one Aaron - the last pic reminds me of the Predators door trims - looks well done :)

I like the Stinger Accessories pic - that will be mine shortly...but X 2 *cringes* - you know there's something wrong when you're bill for Stinger accessories is nearing $1K

The box is looking very trippy ! Hanging to see it finished :)

I've just glued the bullet proff glass to the frame and hope to get the accessories box finished in the next couple of days.

Then hook the digital up to the subs on the weekend and add some bottom end to the equation so when my Ladies arrive home i have a little something special for them (as well as another supprise i have bought them they dont know about...)

I have finally made some more progress
I’ve done a rough backboard which I should have finished by the end of the week
Everything is connected and working nicely. It play’s very loud and clear and in my unbiased opinion sounds great.

Home Trivia Question
How much current does the sub amp draw playing music on bursts (not SPL tone discs this is top 40music)?

Answer in AMPS….

Painted box w/subs + mirror pyramid idea inside(dusty)

The LEDâ€￾s are on a variable speed chase paten so I took a couple of pics to try and show some of the different colour combinations it flashes through although you need to see it to do justice..

That box should be classified as fine art.
Beautiful.

Thanks, you'd be supprised the little accessories box took as long as the sub box itself.

Wouldn't do it like that again.
