Well, i've been doing a little bit of upgrading on the stereo on the explorer, (upcoming dvd and screens)my problem now is that i ain't got anywhere to put anymore amps, got 3 at the moment, and lookin to put another in to handle 4 new JL speakers for the doors, any ideas on where the hell i should put it?, pics in my gallery show the boot, tryin to keep it as clean as possible, back seats fold down so no go with amps there since it'll get crushed, under front seats no go either since their electric, so no space? what to do, what do do? oh and yeah there is also more subs goin in the rear so keep that in mind

sounds like it's time for a false floor\walls in the boot. Perhps ask DCStraight for some images of his old wagon install. IIRC he had a s**t load of equipment in there all done very very neatly

if you dont move the subs around you could probably chuck it and even the other on the side wall on the back of the sub box.

Cheers

i think that option is ruled out! i'd go with what steve had done in the wagon - a false-bottomed floor would be the best bet i'd say. could look very clean if done well!

don't really want to bolt em ontop of the box, trying to keep a neat and presentable install, i think i may talk to steve on the whole false floor thing. or even try and install a beam or something to hold it in the air.

So said the "over the top" crazy mofo!
Dan, if it were me with an explorer id go false floor with some sort of draw maybe or display; failing that try and make a stakable shelf for the amp maybe, two on each side, one angled above the other.

Cheers - Good luck n keep us updated.

Steve has the body of an 80 year old - his ears don't work as well as they used to. Every decade he adds another amp to his car!!! When he gets to 10 amps the queen will write him a letter!! :P
